Brian McDonald


Brian McDonald has more than 24 years of oil and gas industry experience. He has held commercial and technical leadership positions for GE Oil & Gas, Weatherford Global Compression Services, Gardner Denver and Cooper Industries. Prior to joining Flatrock Compression, Brian was the North America product line manager for GE Oil & Gas covering upstream, midstream and downstream compression products. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and both a Master Degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Texas A&M University.

B.J. Ellis

Director of Sales

B.J. Ellis has over 19 years of experience in the natural gas compression industry. Prior to joining Flatrock Compression he was senior strategic account manager at Valerus Compression Services.  He also served as compression/transportation operations manager for Quicksilver Resources and lead field service technician for both Hanover and Universal Compression.

Mark Riley

Director of Operations

Mark Riley has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 23 years in midstream operations with Mitchell Energy and Devon Energy.  Prior to joining Flatrock Compression, he was the Permian Basin Business Unit Manager at Compressor Systems, Inc. Mark has managed all aspects of compressor operations throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas.  He has extensive operational experience combined with technical expertise and solid management skills.

Kevin Zappe

Sales Manger – South & East Texas

Kevin Zappe has more than 21 years experience in the oil and gas industry and has been with Flatrock Compression since 2005. Prior to Flatrock, he worked at Parker & Parsley and National Oil. Kevin has completed courses at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and has earned three years of credit towards a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Houston.
